A Portrait Of: Jim Copperthwaite

"I've got no doubt that food and music are really highly related. The way that food and flavour work is, to me, identical to the mixing phase of music.

How you pull together and combine timbres and sounds to make a particular feeling is exactly the same as how you might choose certain combinations of herbs and spices.

It's exactly the same thing, it's just a different sense."

Go behind the scenes of Jim Copperthwaite's 'Ballroom Ghosts', written at his home and farm in Somerset with the first in our 'A Portrait Of' series of films.

Filmed and edited by Tom Palliser.
